how to write a poem

Writing a poem is all about seeing the world around you. A poem can be about anything, from a mouldy sandwich to a rusty chainsaw . Writing poetry can help you become more expressive and improve your linguistic style. However, if you're not used to writing poetry, you may be at a loss as to where to start. Poetry writing is a skill that improves with practice (just like any other type of writing).

here is a sample poem:
Fire                                    1. think of a topic
Beside a flame                         2.  write a poem
burning desire                          3.  if you want you can make it rhyme
tip: don't make to long or too short
inspiration
tongue of fire

smoldering on a
winters night

Warming sensation
glowing delight

impulsive reactions
coming in play

Smothering flames
gone the next day.

varun's poem

          fearful,sweet
   barking,drooling,waging
    collar,tail,buddy,catnip
purring,amusing,heart-warming
         calm,cheerful
                 cat
