One landmark I have been to is the Ontario Science Centre. The
Centre has many attractions. There are many things to do there like watching
the cinema, and playing with paper airplanes. There are exhibitions in the
bottom floor .In the second floor there is the space place and kid places. The 6th
floor has Astra Zeneca were you can learn about life.
The exhibition that is currently running is ``the science of
rock and roll``. In the exhibition there are drums, a recorder, the guitar, the
piano, drum machines, and there are spots were they talk about some bands of musicians.
There also was an exhibition were they put some old-fashioned games on display which
was my favorite part. Beside the exhibitions they were places where you can
make paper air planes and glue cardboard to make your own creation. And opposite
to that there is Astra Zeneca where there are models of elephant hearts and lungs
models. There was a driving simulation but they removed it.
The second floor has kids places where:
·
You can play with dams and magnetic fishing
poles
·
You can fill in play bricks in a life sized
house
·
Mini caves with picture of cave dwelling animals
There is also a cinema. It has approximately 250o degree angle of the screen and it’s huge!!!! They
play educational movies like UNDER THE SEA. Under the sea shows life in the
ocean. They always add new movies to the IMAX and they are all well directed. The
library gives free tickets in the early morning but some time they don’t have
the tickets.
So in conclusion the Ontario Science Centre is a very good
place. It has a kids place. It has a pre-teen/teen/grown-up place. It even has a
cinema to watch movies in. I am really happy that I have such a place in my neighbourhood.
